Experience
Experience: Tutoring in Latin, Teaching Assistant at Texas Tech University, Graduate Part Time Instructor of Latin at Texas Tech University I have a deep desire to become a Latin teacher, first at the High School level, then on to the collegiate level. I would like to tutor to gain extra experience while I am getting my education degree and also preparing for a move to another state, where I would like to obtain a job. I have a Masters in Classics (which involves advanced courses in Latin, Greek, pedagogy, and other Greco-Roman cultural courses). In my undergrad, I minored in Women and Gender studies. I have a deep love for Augustan Latin Literature, so writers such as Vergil, Ovid, Tibullus, and Propertius are my specialties. I especially gained a love for Latin Love Elegy, which involves a deep understanding of the Latin language. Not only am I proficient at Latin, but I am able to tutor in English writing and grammar. The Latin language is the foundation for our languages now, so I've always had a passion for languages. I taught mythology and first year Latin at Texas Tech University while obtaining my Masters, so I feel confident in teaching the language.
