I am a Senior at Texas Tech University. I currently have a 3.8 GPA and am working towards my B.A. in Technical Communication & Rhetoric with a minor in English. Once I graduate, I will be working towards my M.A. in either Technical Communication & Rhetoric, or I will do an out-of-field option for a degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Experience
I have tutored many students, will be working at the University Writing Center in the fall, and have been a Writing Fellow for about a year. The Writing Fellows was created over 20 years ago at Brown University, and aims to promote the writing literacy of all students through out the university. I have taken a mixture of classes through out the humanities. If you have any questions about me being able to help you in a class, just let me know, and we can work something out. My mother has been teaching in elementary school's for 17+ years, and I have been helping her with her students. I have worked with students who have ADHD, or have problems learning in a traditional way. I'm extremely patient and can work with anyone to try and find the best way to help them. I am also great at helping students learn to take notes, set goals, etc. If need be, we can set up skype -or some other form of online tutoring -if we cannot find an a meet-up time that works for everyone.
