I am a senior undergraduate student at Texas Tech University here in Lubbock. I am majoring in Mathematics with a minor in Actuarial Science. My current overall GPA is 3.0. I plan to graduate this December. I am working towards my first bachelor of arts degree. I want to pursue a career in the actuarial field upon graduation.
Experience
I have previously tutored refugee high school students in math and other subjects. As a native Spanish speaker, I managed A's in all of my Spanish classes up through Spanish II. I have also earned high marks in my mathematics courses, particularly enjoying Calculus I and Business Calculus. I want to tutor in order to help other students enjoy these subjects.

Hobbies
During my free time I like to work on puzzles and spend time with my dogs. I also tend to make it out to Alamo Drafthouse at least once a week to watch a movie. "Secret Life of Pets" was my most recent one. Traveling is another of my hobbies. Nothing compares to the experiences of new places and cultures whether it is a ghost town fifteen minutes from the city or a country halfway around the world. I am also admittedly a Netflix addict. I like to watch "novelas" (Spanish Soap Operas) in order to practice my Spanish, but "The Office (U.S.)" is my favorite show.
